This year, I’m focusing on eating better and feeling better. Chris and I are paying more attention to what we’re putting into our bodies and are trying to avoid the greasy, sugary, fatty foods we are drawn to. Lately, we’ve been drawn to taking on an anti-inflammatory diet.
One of our favorite supplements to take for reducing inflammation is turmeric.
Turmeric is a golden powder most recognized for being the spice that gives curry its color! It’s been used for thousands of years for its medicinal properties and has even been thought to help fight back against some forms of cancers, diabetes, and chronic inflammation.
In the past, I liked to take my turmeric in hot water. I call it ‘turmeric tea‘, but I basically boil hot water, stir in 2 tsp. of turmeric, and squeeze in some raw organic honey. It’s especially nice on cold, winter mornings!
With our busy morning schedule, I don’t always have the time to boil water and make tea, so I was so happy to have found New Chapter’s Turmeric Force capsules. These one daily supplements are different than others on the market because they deliver hundreds of remarkable compounds just like whole Turmeric, complete with Curcumin as well as Turmerones. It helps your body maintain a healthy inflammation response, and even supports brain and heart health*. I can grab one of these brightly colored supplements with my morning bagel, and go!
When I have about ten minutes to spare, however, my super secret favorite way to eat turmeric is in the form of gummies! I’m sharing my recipe with you guys so you can make your own inflammation balancing gummies at home.
